Recent Work: Gillis Architects PC

When his partner retired from Gillis Previti Architects, Ralph Gillis, AIA, decided it was the perfect time to rejuvenate his NYC architecture firm. He called upon Ditto! Design! to work with him to rename the firm GillisArchitects PC and create the new identity that is applied it to all its off- and on-line communications.

That they would collaborate was a given because Rick Whelan and Ralph have worked together on many projects ever since they met way back when. Ralph designed a major renovation to Rick’s Shelter Island home and designed his offices in NYC. Over the years Rick designed various Gillis Previtti marketing communications and its website. And they’re still friends!

Recent Work: Groundwork Hudson Valley

The Groundwork Hudson Valley website is another collaboration with my son Jackson who does all the development work for Ditto! Design!

Groundwork Hudson Valley is an environmental justice non-profit that works with communities to improve their physical and social environment. This is done by collaborating on projects, among them: turning dangerous vacant lots into community gardens, planting trees, replacing graffiti with murals, and forming alliances within the community. Some of these projects are done through school programs and many of them are intergenerational. They are dedicated to environmental stewardship and community empowerment. All of the projects engage local residents in hands-on projects, from design to planting.

This poster is one item in an extensive 50th anniversary project Ditto! is designing for USITT. In addition to the anniversary identity design and its myriad applications, Ditto! Design! created a new brandmark and website design for USITT.

Butterfly Tales is a mail-order service providing sales of childrens books for school visits and fairs.

Its logo was selected for inclusion in the second volume of the LogoLounge Master Library Series, Animals & Mythology.
